This is a motivational story of Monty Roberts.
When he was a child, his daddy as a horse fitness instructor was moving from stable to stable, from ranch to ranch, training horses. Consequently, the boy‘s education was frequently interrupted. One day, in school his teacher told him to create and write about what he wished to be when he grew up. He didn’t hesitate one minute and wrote seven-page document about his try to be an manager of a horse ranch, he wrote many facts and drew a spot of properties and stables and also an in depth house plan.
Two days soon after he received his document back with letter F . After class he came to instructor and asked: „Why did I acquire an F?“. The instructor responded: „This dreams are too unrealistic for a boy, who does not have any money, no information and who originates from a very poor family. There is absolutely no possibility that you’ll achieve your great goals when you grow up“ Then teacher told Monty to rewrite the paper with an realistic attitude.
The boy went to his residence and asked his daddy, what should he do.His dad answeredThis decision is important for you. Which means you have to make your own decision“.
After several days and nights the boy brought exactly the same paper to his teacher. No improvements were made. He said: “Keep your F and I am going to keep my dream“.
Now Monty Roberts owns 4,000-square-foot house in the center of 200-acre horse ranch and even now he has that school document, framed on the fireplace.
Remember,Don’t ever let someone tell you, you can’t do something. Not even your teachers. You got a dream, you got to protect it. People can’t do something themselves so they want to tell you you can’t do it. You want something, go get it.
